rendering

DAY 14
most of the time we were waiting for rendering today,
manage to do some stuffs with compositing like adding in the smoke and so on,
edmund added the smoke in shot 09.


we were helping one another with the perspective and work too.
Day 12


Edmund continued to work on scene 1.


The collapsing building seems to be working with the texture already. Nick also tried to do the smoke effect in Houdini with the help of Mr. TK Ng & Mr. Ron.

Akid did the compositing of scene 2 and 3, and lens flare to scene 2. He tweaked the lighting for the scene

Day 13


Nick did the smoke today in houdini and tried it out & experimented with the settings to match like real smoke movement.

    

Yushi searched for ways to solve the texture problem after the shatter and helped in supervising the looks of the effects.

Akid composited the smoke done by nick  and also smooth cam scene 4 in after effects.



Edmund did smoke in after effects in case Akid could not find the stock footages.

DAY 11

 nick continued working on the smoke,
tried a few variations of the smoke.



end up Mr T.K told him that he can try using houdini to create the smoke.
so with Mr T.K's and Mr Ron's advise, nick proceed ahead with the idea.

on the other hand, akid completed shot 02.

 added in lens flare
 and did the overall colour correction for the shot.


yushi did the texture for the demolition scene,
as the textures need to be applied after the dynamics are added onto it.

 also yushi made the metal barrier more dusty and dirtier.

edmund continued working on the establishing shot.

Continuation

DAY 10
we continued working on our shots and the things
and edmund tried the compositing of the dust in After Effects & also for the establishing shot.
while akid continued on shot 02
yushi continued on working on his texture
and nick continued on making his smoke look more 3D and realistic,
as he found a new way to work with which is by using fluid particles but somehow has problem animating it.
we will try to solve our problems over the weekends.

adjustments

DAY 9
nick was still sick today but he did his work at home.
Mr TJ told us that the building looks unrealistic because of the windows size 
so we told nick to make adjustments to the windows
by duplicating more of it and shortening the floors of the building.
he also tried experimenting with the smoke of the demolition scene
by using particles for the smoke.

akid continue working on his signpost shot 2 yesterday.
yushi continued trying to make his texturing as realistic as possible.
edmund continued on his shot 01 perspective and lighting.

perspective

DAY 8
today was more of a improving the perspective of the building in the shot and textures and so on.
yushi further improved some of the building textures

yushi import the HDR image into the maya scenes
 and he did shot 2 for the sign post and building
 and edmund modeled the barrier for the site
and the perspective for the shot 01 establishing shot
